“I’m tired and I’m hurt, too.
“But, we’re sitting here, … supposed to be a franchise, and,
“We’re talking about Twitter. I mean, listen, we’re sitting here talking about Twitter, not the game, not the game, but we’re talking about Twitter.
“Not the game, that (players) go out and die for and play every game like it’s (their) last, but we’re talking about Twitter.”
How silly is that?
“Now, I know (the Sixers front office) is supposed to lead by example, and all that. and we’re not shovin’ it aside like it don’t mean anything. I know it’s important. I do.
I honestly do.
“But we’re talking about Twitter, we’re talking about Twitter, man.
“We’re talking about Twitter.
“We’re talkin’ about Twitter.
“We’re not talking about the game.
“We’re talking about Twitter.
“When you come to the arena, and you see (the Sixers) play, you’ve seen the Sixers play, don’t you?
“And, you see (the Sixers) give everything they’ve got, but we’re talking about Twitter now.
“We’re talking about Twit …
“Hey, I hear you. It’s funny to me, too, It’s strange to me, too, but we’re talking about Twitter, man.
“We’re not talking about the game, the actual game … when it really matters, we’re talking about Twitter.
“How in the hell can we make our teammates better by using Twitter?
“They should be tweeting with us? Those are my teammates. So the game is going to deteriorate because (they’re using) Twitter? Is the game going to get worse?
“I’m asking you, is the game going to get worse?
“So what about the game? Is my game going to get better because someone is Tweeting?
“I mean, do that hurt me?
“Do you think that hurts me?
“I’m being honest, people might be hurt on my team but do that hurt me?
“Does that hurt me when I go out there and play 48 minutes, does that hurt me as a player? Does (Twitter) hurt me if this person is hurt (by Twitter) or that person is hurt?
Do it hurt me?
“You’re contradicting yourself, man.
“If (the Sixers have superstars), then why is this all happening? Why does (a daughter) have to deal with this? Why (are we a franchise) having a meeting? Why are we talkin’ to y’all about this?
“We are on the same page. We are.
“I’m upset because of one reason. We are in here.
“I lost my best friend. We lost this year (to the Celtics in the Playoffs). I feel that everything is going downhill for me as far as my life.
“I don’t want to deal with this, man.
“I don’t want to go through this (Twitter) shit man.
… we lost. I lost. I mean me, my coaching staff, my teammates, the organization lost.
“It’s just me. I have to deal with it. And, now, it ain’t about (the Sixers) and Coach Brown.
“It’s about Twitter.
“The ball is in Twitter’s corner.”
