LONDON – (Wire Service Report) – The Miami Dolphins and New Orleans Saints will play a regular-season game in London in 2017. Sources associated with the Dolphins team confirmed reports Sunday that the two teams will play across the Atlantic next season. Miami will be the host team. The NFL has yet to determine a site or date.

The Saints haven’t played in London since 2008, when they defeated the San Diego Chargers in their only trip overseas. Miami is somewhat of a regular in London, visiting in 2007, 2014 and 2015. The Dolphins own a 1-2 record in Wembley Stadium. Miami hosting is part of agreement reached in 2014 among NFL clubs that within five years of making a Super Bowl bid, a franchise is required to be the home team for an international game. The Jacksonville Jaguars are the only team to play more games in England than the Dolphins.
Three NFL games are expected to be played next year in England. The other matchups will be announced in the next few weeks. This season’s final game in London ended Sunday with the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals playing to a 27-27 tie.
