NEW YORK – (Staff Report from Official News Release) – The Boston Celtics will open the 2018-19 NBA regular season at home with a nationally televised game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Celtics’ first home game and a home Christmas Day game (against those same 76ers) were part of the NBA’s gradual announcement of its national television schedule for the opening week of the 2018-19 regular season as well as its lineup of five Christmas Day games on ESPN networks and three Martin Luther King Jr. Day games on TNT.
The Celtics will travel to Toronto for an October 19th game against the Raptors.
Yesterday, the league announced teams and dates for its annual regular season event in Mexico.
