BOSTON – Boston Celtics President of Basketball Operations Danny Ainge suffered a mild heart attack in Milwaukee on Tuesday night. He received immediate medical attention and is expected to make a full recovery.
Ainge remained in Milwaukee and will return to Boston shortly, according to the Celtics.
According to the team news advisory issued at 12:06pm today, further updates will be provided as appropriate.
Ainge was named to his lead basketball role on May 9, 2003.
During his 14-year playing career, Ainge won two NBA championships with Boston (1984, 1986).
